What drives the price in Tweed
- From $25,000 for a plunge or compact fibreglass pool installed.
- Full-size fibreglass $45,000–$85,000 · concrete $65,000–$110,000.
- Excavation is the biggest local variable — soil and slope, not the shell.
- Most quotes exclude fencing, paving and landscaping. Get that in writing.
- Approval runs 3–10 weeks before anything is dug.

Certification and council rules in Tweed
Tweed's subtropical climate gives it one of the longest swimming seasons in New South Wales and correspondingly high pool density, but the same warmth and humidity accelerate algae growth and vegetation. Vegetation is a compliance issue as well as a maintenance one: shrubs and climbing plants that grow into the non-climbable zone around a barrier are a common inspection failure here, and they regrow between certificate cycles rather than staying fixed.
