- Who can inspect: Council or a registered private certifier
- Triggered by: Sale and lease
- Lodgement: No separate lodgement step
Since 29 April 2016 a contract for sale must carry a certificate of registration plus a certificate of compliance. A certificate of non-compliance can be attached instead, giving the buyer 90 days from settlement to rectify.
