Certification and council rules in Ryde

Ryde has a large proportion of established homes on sloping ground running down toward the Parramatta River, and slope changes barrier compliance. Effective fence height is measured from the higher side, so a fence that measures compliant from inside the pool area can be well under height from the garden above it. Retaining walls adjoining a barrier count as climbable structures.
