Certification and council rules in Gympie

Gympie sits on the Mary River with substantial flood-affected land, which is the main determinant of whether a pool application is straightforward or not. Beyond that, the Queensland rules apply unchanged: two years on a non-shared certificate, one on a shared pool, and only a licensed pool safety inspector can issue one. Gympie also sits far enough north to catch the tail of the cyclone season, and storm damage to a fence or gate leaves a pool non-compliant from the moment it happens rather than at the next scheduled inspection.
