What drives the price in Gold Coast
- From $25,000 for a plunge or compact fibreglass pool installed.
- Full-size fibreglass $45,000–$85,000 · concrete $65,000–$110,000.
- Excavation is the biggest local variable — soil and slope, not the shell.
- Most quotes exclude fencing, paving and landscaping. Get that in writing.
- Approval runs 3–10 weeks before anything is dug.

Certification and council rules in Gold Coast
The Gold Coast has an unusually high concentration of canal-front and multi-dwelling properties, which matters because Queensland halves certificate validity for shared pools — one year rather than two. A shared pool is one accessible to residents of two or more dwellings, which captures a large share of the Gold Coast's duplex, townhouse and resort-style stock. Body corporate committees working on a two-year assumption spend twelve months non-compliant, and it usually surfaces only when a single lot owner tries to sell.
